Below are some frequently asked questions with answers. We hope they will satisfy some of your queries.
We are a small but growing enterprise which means we would be glad to do any sized jobs no matter how small it may be. Our engineers are always happy to take time and provide advice even with minor queries.
Yes we most certainly can, in most cases councils and/or other authorities require an engineer to perform an inspection and/or to provide a letter of recommendation for any addition or modification to an existing or new structure to ensure compliance to relevant Australian Standards, Codes and Legislations. Insurance companies may require an engineering letter to state the possible cause of damage or way of remediation to an existing structure before cover is provided.
Yes, we are more than happy to discuss our fees over the phone. Undoubtedly the most sought after information about any service is the “ballpark figure” (cost) associated with it. Not many engineering consultants would be comfortable providing a quote without having inspected or thoroughly investigated the works required. But at Vann Boma Engineering we understand how much a general cost guide on our services would help our clients. So we have provided just that! Please visit our fees page.
At Vann Boma Engineering we always try and understand our clients’ circumstances and provide a service that will suit each and every situation. We understand that most projects may have a limited budget and to help with this we are happy to recommend cost effective solutions such as, providing hand drawn sketches rather than drafted documentation.
